Appreciating the beauty of life, I've found myself with a lovely bouquet of flowers. However, I can't find a suitable vase for them. The bottles I have at home are either too small or too unattractive. Any suggestions on what I can do?

DIY Light Bulb Vase

Materials: gloves, glasses, scissors, needle-nose pliers, screwdrivers, tweezers, syringes or watering cans, incandescent lamps with screws, plant seeds

Put on gloves and safety glasses, and use pliers to carefully remove the black cap from the top of the light bulb. Then, use a screwdriver to gently break the wick inside the bulb and remove it carefully. Collect some fine soil, place it on a folded piece of paper, and pour it into the light bulb. If you prefer, you can also opt for hydroponics instead of soil culture.

Use tweezers to place the seeds of your favorite plants, or small plants with roots and soil, into the bulb. Add a bit of water with a syringe or watering can. Seal the opening of the bulb with a pine cone or a shaved stick, and remember to water it regularly.

DIY Test Tube Vase

Materials: wooden sticks, test tubes, hemp rope

Using three small wooden sticks and a glass test tube, you can easily create a simple and elegant decoration. Make several of these, insert different flowers, and they will serve as beautiful home decorations!

Prepare three wooden sticks of the same size to hold the test tube in place, then wrap a rope around the top to secure them. Add water and flower preservative to the test tube, and insert your favorite flowers. If you have a test tube rack at home, you can use that instead.

Hanging basket planters

Materials: baskets, sturdy ropes, dirt, scissors, small foliage plants, succulents or herbaceous plants that you want to grow

Prepare three bamboo baskets of different sizes, arranged in descending order. Thread them with ropes and secure the spacing between them. Add soil to each basket separately, placing drainage materials like small pebbles or ceramsite at the bottom. Since bamboo baskets are not waterproof, line them with plastic liners to prevent moisture leakage and corrosion. You can add small holes in the liners to allow proper drainage and prevent root rot.

Once you've finished assembling the baskets, tie the end of the rope into a knot so you can hang it as desired.

Coconut Shell Hanging Planter Pot

Materials: hemp rope, coconut shell, white lacquer, small electric drill, oil brush, carpentry knife, needle-nose pliers

First, use pliers to remove the outer skin of the coconut shell. Don’t throw away the outer skin; instead, dry it and mix it into the soil for your plants. It helps retain moisture initially and slowly decomposes over time, providing nutrients for the plant's root system to grow.

Dry the coconut shell, then spray the inside with alcohol or fungicide to eliminate any bacteria.

Use a small electric drill to create a few small drainage holes in the bottom of the coconut shell. If you want to turn it into a hanging pot, drill three or four holes around the edge of the shell to thread the rope through.

Place a layer of pebbles or ceramsite at the bottom of the coconut shell to aid in drainage.

If you find the appearance of the coconut shell too plain, you can paint it with white paint and then use a paintbrush to add your desired patterns.
